WTF is Kink Patrol?

Good question. Thanks for asking.

Kink Patrol is a little bit directory, a little bit discovery engine and a whole lot of “Hmm... what’s this?” It’s a place to find categorized people, places, events, art and other interesting bits of the kinky universe. Come looking for something specific, or just poke around and see what grabs your attention. You never know what you might uncover—or what parts of yourself might get revealed along the way.

But we’re not trying to keep all that good stuff to ourselves. Kink Patrol is a launchpad. The things you find here belong out in the world, and our job is to help you discover them. Maybe you'll stumble across a fascinating event, a shop you've never heard of, a community that feels like home or a kink that makes you tilt your head and think, "Well... that's interesting." Whether you're hunting for something specific or just indulging your curiosity, we want to get you from “Huh, what’s that?” to “Let’s go there.”

And then there are those of us who live in both worlds.

Maybe you’re perfectly happy discussing spreadsheets at 2:00 and rope at 10:00. Maybe your everyday life doesn’t look particularly kinky at all, while another part of you absolutely does. Maybe you’re curious, quietly kinky, enthusiastically kinky or simply interested in finding out what all the fuss is about. You don't have to pick a side. Kink Patrol is comfortable with both sides of you.

Mostly, though, Kink Patrol is meant to be a place to get away for a while. Browse. Poke around. Follow an interesting link. Discover something weird. Find something useful. Lose ten minutes looking at things you didn’t intend to look at. The internet has plenty of places demanding your attention. We thought it might be nice to have one that simply invites you to wander and wonder.
